The first three days of training explain a development life cycle for Information Risk management, helping students understand the goals and processes of an effective risk strategy as well as process improvement and maturity concepts, that are applicable to any organization. All of the concepts and best practices discussed in these first three days are based on and consistent with, the latest in both ISO/IEC 27001 and the NIST Risk Management Framework and can help anyone preparing for any ISO/IEC 17024 InfoSec certifications (CISM, CRISC, CISSP, CCSP, Security+, etc)
After building a strong foundation on Information Risk Management and the various goals and processes involved in a development life cycle, students spend a day taking 5 hour practice exams. As the CISM is more focused on the first pre-production steps of an SDLC (requirements, design, develop & test) Thursday is dedicated to taking the official CISM practice exam. Once the organization certifies and accredits the risk controls, it is the job of a CRISC to maintain these controls in production. Friday therefore is dedicated to taking the official CRISC practice exam.

Larry leads five hour group study sessions where he guides attendees through practice exams for either CRISC or CISM. As students answer multiple choice questions they have the opportunity to participate in discussions about why a particular answer is chosen over others. These sessions are designed specifically to prepare students for the types of questions they’ll encounter during their exam. Not everyone learns the same, and here at InterNetwork Defense we want to adapt to teach you the best we can. Larry Greenblatt will spend a half day with you going over practice exams and answering questions to help you feel comfortable with the material.
